3 Things to Plan for your Wedding that are Often Forgotten But Make a Huge Difference

Planning a wedding is hectic – we know. Whether it’s making sure that you’ve invited all the people that you want to be there, sorted all aspects of your ceremony or even just chosen the perfect wedding attire, it’s important to try and make sure that you’ve got everything planned ahead of time to ensure that your day goes as smoothly as possible.

However, have you thought about the extra touches, too? You may have the basics down and in place, but sometimes those extra finishing touches can make all the difference!

Light Up Letters

It’s becoming more popular in the wedding industry to put a personal stamp on your wedding day. While every wedding will be different anyway, more and more couples are looking for ways to bring a little more of their own personality into their day.

One way to do this is to use light up letters which can be arranged in a variety of different ways. Whether you want the letters to spell out your initials, your new joint surname or even a word which encapsulates the love that you both have for each other, these letters are a great addition to any wedding day.

They also provide a wonderful photo opportunity for both you and your guests – your wedding photos will be even more personalised, and your guests will be able to pose in front of your initials and come up with some creative pictures to add to your memory book!

Decorative Table Lights

Chances are, you’ll probably have some form of decoration on your table during your wedding breakfast, but what happens when the lights go down during the evening and there’s not much light available, other than that from the disco ball?

Fairy lights in a jar

Why not make your own table lighting? Using battery powered fairy lights – or candles if you trust your guests not to knock them over – you could utilise old jars and create a sophisticated, easy to make light-source for your tables to add a little more atmosphere once the evening starts to draw in. You could even decorate the outside to match the colour theme of your wedding!

Children’s Area

Weddings are a time for families to get together and celebrate, which often means that children will inevitably come along, too. There’s nothing cuter than watching a little one have the time of their life and bob along to the music on the dancefloor – sometimes being the only one brave enough to get up and dance!

However, we all know that children can become bored very easily, and with weddings often lasting quite a way into the night, it’s important that you’re thinking of how to keep the little ones entertained during the duration of your celebrations.

Designating a corner of your venue for children’s entertainment is always a good idea, and it doesn’t have to be anything extravagant or expensive. Pile old dress up items into a box, scatter a few books around, or even set up a sweetie cart that they can help themselves with – we guarantee there will be less tears and more happy, smiley faces!

Here at Light Up Love, we’re dedicated to helping you have the perfect celebration, no matter what you are celebrating! With our light up letters, we can transform any venue to suit your needs and requirements!
