Make Your Wedding Picture Perfect

There’s nothing more special than a wedding – whether it’s your own or a friend’s – because they’re such a happy occasion, everybody is always in a good mood and it’s a chance for family and friends to get together. Of course after the celebrations are over, the next best bit is flicking through all the photos that were taken and choosing your favourites to keep in an album.

However, the last thing you want is for your pictures to look bland because of boring backgrounds, or bad quality because the lighting was too dark. After the official photographer has packed up and gone home after the day do, it can also be easy to forget to take photographs during the evening so then you have nothing to choose from. But there’s no need to worry, because there are some measures you can take to make sure all your pictures look perfect!

Create dynamic backgrounds

Pictures always look their best when they’re taken against a dynamic background; it makes for a more interesting picture to have something decorative such as pretty fairy lights, stunning landscapes or impressive buildings. Of course this becomes harder when the night do is confined to your venue, so creating sections of the room to have pictures taken would be ideal – for example, having photos taken by hired light up letters would provide guests with a fun activity.

Make sure everyone gets a picture

Even though it can be difficult to get round to spending quality time with all your guests, you want to make sure that everyone you invited gets a picture or else you have nothing to commemorate that they were there. A good way to make sure plenty of photos are taken of everyone is to leave a couple of disposable cameras on all the tables so that guests can take their own pictures!

Of course a common problem with disposable cameras is that they can’t adjust to different kinds of lighting very well, so to make sure most of the pictures come out ok it’s vital to ensure the room is well lit!

Invest in room lighting

It may be a good idea to hire lighting for your venue so that you can primarily create the perfect atmosphere. As a wedding is supposed to be an elegant affair, you may want to invest in a fairy light canopy or perhaps outdoor lanterns which not only look stunning, but will also provide subtle yet effective lighting for your photos.

Make use of the daylight

As the main event of the day occurs during the day, it would be a good idea to get most of your pictures taken early on when there’s a lot of daylight at your disposal, as natural light makes pictures look their best. Getting the majority of your photographs taken early on in the proceedings will also make sure everyone is looking their best in their elegant wedding attire.
